Itravels, trips and plansTSE's 1952 rest cure in Switzerland;h9;a5 was glad to get your letter from Claremont, as it makes it possible to send you a line before flying to Geneva tomorrow morning. I hope that you have found the change stimulating, together with the happiness of seeing old friends, because the expedition sounds anything but restful: Milwaukee, Minneapolis, California – Claremont and Berkeley – and then Seattle and a long flight back. And I hope also that you will have a little time to yourself in Andover, and not have to be in Boston all the time till the beginning of term. I am rather afraid that it may prove physically and emotionally exhausting.
And I shall sit quietly for three weeks looking out over the lake and mountains, bathing, walking, and perhaps taking trips on the little steamers that plod about the lake. And I hope not to have to talk to a single person.
I hope that you will let me have some word from you at the Hotel Belle-Vue, Chardonne s/Vevey, Vaud, Switzerland, towards the end of your travels: I don’t suppose I shall get another address to write to, but will have a few postcards waiting for you in Andover.
