This was really to say that my doctor says I may go out on Friday, and to Chichester Saturday. He has given me some lovely stuff to put up the nose – called ENDRINE. If you should get a cold in your blessed nose or sinus do try it. Most soothing. Extracted from the Ma Huang, a plant known to the Chinese for its medicinal properties for the last 5000 years, & nogames, diversions'Go' (Wei-Ki);a6 doubt beneficial to players of Wei Ki. But you must keep well because I want some nice parties when you return.

1.There is no innuendo in any of the titles of the detective novels published by F&F this season. EH was probably referring to the slight ambiguity of the title The Divorce Court Murder, by Milton Propper; this is the jacket notice:

She had been waiting in the next room, but when called for there was no reply. She was dead.
Thus began a sensational investigation which involved one of the town’s most respected families. It led to scandal, intrigue, and affair in a road-house, and finally to a startling solution.
