I hope to hear that your journey back was not uncomfortable. I am glad that you should have been out of London these last two days, as it must have been very pleasant in Gloucestershire. And I shall see you again in three more days. Elizabeth has been laid flat by the heat, but is better tonight, and on Saturday will get her holiday, or part of it. I have not done a great deal of work, becauseHayward, JohnHyde Park excursion with;i7 I found that John was alone for the whole weekend with no one to take him out, and as the weather has been so exceptional I have trundled him to the Park yesterday and this afternoon, where we sat and watched the children bathing in the Round Pond.
I shall write again, my love, before I come, which will not be long: I look forward so eagerly to a fortnight on end with you.
