Next week I may be at Oxford for a conference. Beyond this, ‘plans’ for the winter cannot yet be made, and my own may depend on those of the firm.
It is a long time, or so it seems, since I have heard from you. You will have left Grand Manan, and are probably at Northampton, where I sent you a short cable a few days ago. I am in less danger than most people: and may God bless and keep us both until the worst of this is over.
