The T. S. Eliot Estate continues to look after Valerie Eliot’s private collection of archives relating to T. S. Eliot. The collection includes T. S. Eliot’s personal and business correspondence, typescript drafts of lectures, speeches and plays, photographs, audio recordings, press cuttings, and scrapbooks Eliot created during his life with Valerie. Alongside the archive are the combined libraries of T. S. Eliot and Valerie Eliot – books they owned before and during their marriage – and books acquired by Valerie in the years after Eliot’s death. The library includes a significant collection of T. S. Eliot’s own works, as well as novels, travel books, religious works, and volumes of poetry.
From the Archive is an opportunity for the T. S. Eliot Estate to share stories from this largely unseen collection.
