John Stammers

John Stammers graduated in Philosophy from King’s College London and is an Associate of King’s College. He lives in Islington, where he was born. His first collection, Panoramic Lounge-bar, was awarded the Forward/Waterstones Prize for Best First Collection in 2001. Stolen Love Behaviour was the Poetry Book Society Selectors’ Choice for Spring 2005. Since being shortlisted for the T. S. Eliot Prize, he has published the collection Interior Night (Picador, 2010) and edited The Picador Book of Love Poems (Picador, 2011) and Gerard Manley Hopkins – Poet to Poet (Faber & Faber, 2012).
