Jana Prikryl

Jana Prikryl is the author of four books of poems, including The After Party (2016), No Matter (2019), and Midwood (2022). The Channel (2026) is the first to be published by Faber & Faber in the UK. Her honours include a Guggenheim Fellowship (2020) and an Award in Literature from the American Academy of Arts and Letters (2021), and her work has been supported by residencies at the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study at Harvard (2017–2018), the Fondation Jan Michalski in Switzerland (2024), Yaddo (2014), and by a writing grant from the Canada Council for the Arts (2012). Born in the former Czechoslovakia, Prikryl grew up in Canada from the age of six. She lives in New York City with her son and is the executive editor at The New York Review of Books.
