Denise Riley

Denise Riley is a critically acclaimed writer of both philosophy and poetry. She edited Poets on Writing: Britain 1970-1991 (1992). Her collections of poetry include Dry Air (Virago, 1985); Mop Mop Georgette: New and Selected Poems 1986-1993 (1993); Selected Poems (2000), both Reality Street Editions; and Say Something Back (Picador Poetry, 2016), shortlisted for the T. S. Eliot Prize, the Forward Prize and the Griffin Poetry Prize. Her publications since then include: Selected Poems (Picador Poetry, 2019) and Lurex (Picador, 2022). She has taught philosophy, art history, poetics, and creative writing. She was, until recently, Professor of Literature with Philosophy at the University of East Anglia and is currently A. D.
