Sophie Hannah

Sophie Hannah’s debut, The Hero and the Girl Next Door, won an Eric Gregory Award. Her fourth collection, First of the Last Chances (Carcanet Press, 2003), was part of the Poetry Book Society’s ‘Next Generation’ promotion. Pessimism for Beginners (Carcanet Press) was shortlisted for the T. S. Eliot Prize in 2007. Since then, Sophie has become an internationally bestselling author of numerous psychological thrillers, which have been published in more than twenty countries and adapted for television.
