Martin Shaw (1875–1958), composer of stage works, choral pieces and ballads. Director of Music, Diocese of Chelmsford, 1935–44. Works include Anglican Folk Mass (1918); Songs of Praise (co-ed., 1925); The Oxford Book of Carols (co-ed., 1928). He wrote the music for TSE’s pageant play The Rock (1934).
