Francis Underhill

Francis Underhill, DD (1878–1943) – TSE’s spiritual counsellor – priest and author; Warden of Liddon House and priest in charge of Grosvenor Chapel, Mayfair, London, 1925–32; later Dean of Rochester, 1932–7. Bishop of Bath and Wells, 1937–43. Works include The Catholic Faith in Practice (1918); Prayer in Modern Life (1928).
