S. Eliot Prize 2005, to be awarded to the writer of the best new collection of poetry published in 2005. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"pbs_body_text\">Now in its thirteenth year, the T. S. Eliot Prize is &#8216;poetry&#8217;s most coveted award&#8217; (Jane Wheatley, <em>The Times<\/em>).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"pbs_body_text\">Judges David Constantine (Chair), Kate Clanchy and Jane Draycott chose the following ten collections:<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Polly Clark \u2013 <em>Take Me with You<\/em> (Bloodaxe Books)<\/p>\n<p>Carol Ann Duffy \u2013 <em>Rapture<\/em> (Picador Poetry)<\/p>\n<p>Helen Farish \u2013 <em>Intimates<\/em> (Cape Poetry)<\/p>\n<p>David Harsent \u2013 Legion (Faber &amp; Faber)<\/p>\n<p>Sin\u00e9ad Morrissey \u2013 <em>The State of the Prisons<\/em> (Carcanet Press)<\/p>\n<p>Alice Oswald \u2013 <em>Woods etc<\/em>. (Faber &amp; Faber)<\/p>\n<p>Pascale Petit \u2013 <em>The Huntress<\/em> (Seren)<\/p>\n<p>Sheenagh Pugh \u2013 <em>The Movement of Bodies<\/em> (Seren)<\/p>\n<p>John Stammers \u2013 <em>Stolen Love Behaviour<\/em> (Picador Poetry)<\/p>\n<p>Gerard Woodward \u2013 <em>We Were Pedestrians <\/em>(Chatto &amp; Windus)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span class=\"pbs_body_text\">Each of these collections are available at the usual discount from the Poetry Book Society.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"pbs_body_text\">The judges will make their final decision on Monday 16 January 2006, when the prize of \u00a310,000 will be presented by Mrs Valerie Eliot at an award ceremony in London.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"pbs_body_text\">The T.
