Eliot Prize archives and explore winning collections from the Prize\u2019s history. The first is Young Critic <a href=\"https:\/\/tseliot.com\/prize\/work\/white-egrets\/#review\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Shannon Clinton-Copeland\u2018s review of Derek Walcott\u2019s <em>White Egrets<\/em><\/strong><\/a> (Faber &amp; Faber), the winner of the <a href=\"https:\/\/tseliot.com\/prize\/prize-year\/the-t-s-eliot-prize-2010\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>T.S. Eliot Prize 2010<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Roving the landscapes of St. Lucia, Walcott\u2019s home, and elsewhere, <em>White Egrets<\/em> is \u2018a painter\u2019s collection, Walcott\u2019s artist\u2019s eye starkly evident\u2019, writes Clinton-Copeland. S. Eliot Prize. Every year, the scheme commissions ten emerging poetry reviewers to produce video reviews of the Prize Shortlist. Look out for the announcement of the 2026 cohort of Young Critics this September.<\/p>\n<p>Shannon Clinton-Copeland was a Young Critic 2025. She is an Irish-Jamaican poet completing a PhD in early modern Irish literature and colonialism at UEA. Her work has been published by <em>The Rialto<\/em>, <em>Acumen<\/em>, <em>Crann\u00f3g<\/em>, <em>berlin lit<\/em> and others.
