Photograph by Gideon Lester.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Join us on Saturday 16th September for a chartered boat tour to the Dry Salvages, a treacherous outcrop of rocks off the coast of Cape Ann, Massachusetts that were immortalized in the title of one of the poems in T. S. Eliot&#8217;s <em>Four Quartets. <\/em>The tour includes commentary by Jack Batchelder, a former marine biologist and environmental scientist, and long-term resident of Cape Ann.<\/p>\n<p>The tour runs from 10:00-1:00 on Saturday 16th September, starting at Harbor Tours, 11 Harbor Loop, Gloucester, MA. Tickets are free but availability is limited. Sign up for the tour by emailing <a href=\"mailto:tseliotfestival@gmail.com\">tseliotfestival@gmail.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The boat tour to the Dry Salvages is part of the celebrations commemorating the 400th anniversary of the settlement of Gloucester, Massachusetts and will be followed by Dr Julia Daniel&#8217;s lecture entitled \u2018Water, Rock, Memory: T. S. Eliot\u2019s Gloucester\u2019 at North Shore Arts Association, 5:30-7:30pm.
